Police in Stroud are probing a break-in at a golf club after thousands of pounds of equipment were stolen overnight.
Detectives are appealing for information following the raid on the pro shop at Minchinhampton New Course Golf Club during the early hours of Friday morning, December 20.
The raid saw thieves clear the shop of more than £38,000 pounds worth of clubs, including wedges, putters, hybrids, fairways and drivers.
A police spokesperson told Stroud Times: “It was reported that unknown offenders gained entry to the course club shop during the early hours of Friday morning (20 December) before stealing several thousand pounds worth of golf clubs.
“The burglary is believed to have taken place at around 1.45am.
“Officers conducted searches in the area however those responsible were not located.”
