Acclaimed actor Charlie Cooper caused a stir when he was hilariously mistaken as a doppelganger for a former Forest Green midfielder who shares his name.

Cooper who shot to fame for his role as Lee “Kurtan” Mucklowe in the BBC Three series This Country, dropped into Nailsworth Computer Shop this week to have his MacBook screen replaced.

“Charlie was lovely and had time for everyone in the shop,” said owner Paddy Coyle, who runs the shop with his son Adam.

“We chatted about football and he was really interested in popping down and watching Slimbridge, who my son Adam also manages.

” It was really funny as lots of people confused him with former Forest Green player Charlie Cooper when we shared our story on our shop Facebook page.”
