Spring is definitely in the air – particularly in the form of a new art exhibition at Three Storeys in Nailsworth.
Colour and celebration provide the theme for artwork from four very different local artists, who met through The Stroud Artists Cooperative.
Sally is an illustration artist, who creates artwork with vibrant colours and fine detail. She has developed a unique and quirky style, producing images on a small scale using fine pens to create tiny details.
Louise creates soothing utopias, usually removing nearly all human-made structures from real life landscapes to provide an antidote to the chaos.
Jacqueline is primarily an oil painter, as well as a keen sketcher whose work is frequently rooted in observations of the local landscape.
Sarah is a mixed-media abstract artist. She draws on her love of the outdoors: big skies and dramatic colour to create beautiful semi-abstract pieces.
The exhibition runs from Tuesday, March 12 until Sunday, March 18 at the Setting Gallery, Three Storeys on the Old Bristol Road in Nailsworth.
