MOST READ

Police will be escorting an abnormal load through Gloucestershire on Monday, September 22.

A section of bridge will be transported from Strensham Services to Bonds Mill Business Estate in Stonehouse.

The load is scheduled to depart Strensham Services at approximately 9:30am, travelling south on the M5, exiting at Junction 13 for Stroud, and continuing along the A419 to its destination. The section of bridge measures 17.5 metres in length, 5.45 metres in width, and weighs 46,589kg.

Authorities emphasise that traffic disruption will be kept to a minimum, but motorists are advised to allow extra travel time and, if possible, avoid the route during the escort.

This operation is part of ongoing efforts to ensure the safe transport of large infrastructure components while minimising impact on road users.
