Stroud’s popular Vegan Fair returns for its seventh birthday on Saturday as part of what has become known as Veganuary.
Expect independent, vegan-friendly businesses showcasing their wares, a programme of talks and cookery demonstrations, and an array of vegan food and drink.
You don’t have to be vegan to enjoy what we’ll have on offer so grab your friends and family, arrive with an open mind and prepare to be amazed!

Join us in the upstairs bar to make your own rice paper rolls with Natural Cookery School. Erin and team will be on hand to show you the tricks of the trade for making the best Vietnamese rice paper rolls and lime and chilli dipping sauce to enjoy straight away!
1:00pm – Vegan Fairs Happy Birthday Ceremony
Join us as we celebrate our 7th birthday! Our founder Daisy talks about the past, present and future of Vegan Fairs and takes questions and feedback from the audience.
2:00pm – Jacques from Cococaravan
Join the head chocolate maker at CocoCaravan Vegan Chocolate and learn all there is to know about organic cocoa beans and their single bean to bar chocolate.

Getting there
- By train – The closest train station is Stroud which is a 2min walk from the venue
- By bus – There are two bus stops very close to The Sub Rooms, one on Rowcroft, near Lloyds Bank and the other on Russell Street outside Peacocks. It is less than a one- minute walk to The Sub Rooms from these bus stops.
- By car – The Sub Rooms has a variety of Car Parks within a few minutes walk of the Venue. Cheapside is based behind the Train Station and by crossing the footbridge The Sub Rooms is only a 3 minute walk away. Brunel Mall & Parliment Street car parks are also relatively close. For Access parking there are a number of spaces to the rear of the building in Bedford Street car park.
Accessibility
The venue is fully accessible with flat floor access throughout the ground floor and a lift to access the ballroom. There are accessible toilets onsite.

We do everything we can to ensure our events are as eco-conscious as they can be. From the paper and ink we use for our flyers to banning plastic bags and cutlery. We’ve come up with 5 tips to make your visit more eco-friendly…
- Bring a tote bag for your shopping.
- Bring a reusable cup & cutlery.
- Bring your own tupperware to fill up with goodies.
- Take public transport where you can or liftshare.
- If you have to drive, offset your emissions by planting a tree in our grove.
