Video: crane does the heavy lifting at medical centre site

Specialist heavy lifting equipment dominated the skyline in Stroud today.

The huge crane was lifting in pre-cast concrete staircase sections at the new Five Valleys Medical Practice in King Street.

The job was finished in less than a day and the next stage of the build will see the exposed walls surrounded by scaffolding and finally enclosed.

The medical practice is scheduled to open in the autumn.
