Thousands of visitors are expected at Painswick Rococo Garden throughout February to view the famous snowdrops.
Deputy Head Gardener Jasper Johns told Stroud Times: “We’ve done a rough count and we think there are about five million blooms, but it’s always growing every year.

“The snowdrops have been here, we think, for a few hundred years and have been linked to a plantsman that used to live on the site in the 1700s.
“They have bloomed earlier this year, we had an early, warmer start to the winter, but this cold snap should have slowed them down a bit.

“They’ll look their best for a good part of February and we should see a few thousand people through the doors over the next month or so.”
