Welcome to the first Five Valleys column of 2026, brought to you by Assistant Centre Manager Mollie Phillips

There is so much to look forward to this year as we begin to see the results of the exciting projects and hard work across the centre.

Having joined the Centre Management team last August, alongside Centre Manager Mick Grundy, February marks my seventh month at Five Valleys. It has been a real pleasure to see the centre through a period of new developments, the festive season, and into the new year.

I’d like to take this opportunity to thank the Five Valleys community for being so warm and welcoming. One of the most exciting new developments is The Home of Vintage, located in the former Wilko unit. It is quickly becoming a standout destination for pre-loved treasures, artisan craftsmanship and a celebration of Stroud’s creative spirit.

This year brings a fresh wave of traders to the space, including Five Valleys Gallery, Sew and So, and KB Bags and Vintage. These new additions complement the existing mix beautifully and further strengthen the offer.

A number of units are still available, so anyone interested is encouraged to get in touch at vintage@fivevalleysstroud.co.uk

Beyond retail, the centre continues to host a lively programme of events.

From Friday 13th February, live performers will take to the centre every Friday evening. Between 5:30pm and 8pm, visitors can enjoy a variety of global cuisines at our Late Night Food Market,  alongside live music from local favourites Cellar Door (13th February) and Jamie Blackburn (20th and 27th February).

Midweek entertainment is also covered, with Curio Lounge hosting a general knowledge quiz every Wednesday at 7pm. Entry is £2 per person, with half going to the prize pot and the other half donated to Curio Lounge’s chosen charity.

With Valentine’s Day on Saturday 14th February, Five Valleys is the perfect place to pick up something special for loved ones. Home Bargains has a wide range of affordable, thoughtful gifts, while Sandersons offers a beautiful selection of premium cards and presents to make the occasion extra special.

Looking ahead to spring, new season arrivals are already landing at Sandersons, including fresh collections from Apricot and Remus. The store has also introduced a new homeware section, perfect for anyone planning a home refresh in 2026.

With so much happening across the centre, Five Valleys is off to an exciting start to the year. We’re also eagerly anticipating the resurfacing works on King Street, beginning next month. The improvements will make a real difference to the area, and we can’t wait to see the results.

We look forward to welcoming you to Five Valleys soon. Stay up to date with everything happening at the centre by visiting www.fivevalleysstroud.co.uk.
