Always pushing the envelope, Forest Green have made a bit of a splash with their new kit launch, ahead of their first season in League One.

Rovers have revealed the new designs for their PlayerLayer away and third kit.

The team will now play in a pink and black ‘electrified’ stripes away shirt and is sponsored by the club’s principal partner Ecotricity and features mobility app Bolt on the back of the shirt with Oatly on the shorts.

Inspired by Sea Shepherd’s retired flagship vessel ‘Steve Irwin’, the third choice kit features their charity partner as front of shirt sponsor – and proceeds from the sale of the strip will be donated to the marine conservation charity.

Rovers’ iconic home kit from the title-winning season will be the same for 2022/23, and continues to be made from recycled coffee grounds and also features Bolt and Oatly.

The kit will be worn at tonight’s opening pre-season friendly at Melksham Town and June online and in-store when matches return to The New Lawn.

Dale Vince, Chairman, said: “Identity is really important. Our kit designs always carry a message, whether through the design or the materials we use to make them.

“Our new pink away kit is really striking and the revamped Sea Shepherd is a powerful interpretation of the classic ocean camo. We’ll make a bit of a splash in League One with these I reckon. I’m looking forward to it.”
