Frocester fast bowler Oshane Thomas has been called into the West Indies ODI squad for the three-match series against India.
Thomas,26, last played for West Indies in December 2021 and has been out of contention in recent times with fitness issues. He last played competitive cricket in 2022, when he turned up for Falcons in the Lanka Premier League.
“We welcome Oshane back into the group,” chief selector Des Haynes said. “Oshane has played at the international level before, with some success, and we believe he will fit well into the set-up.
“Oshane brings pace and is a potential wicket-taker with the new ball.”

Thomas joined the Pounds Close outfit in the summer, a Frocester spokesperson said: “We would like to extend our congratulations and thanks to Oshane as departs us having been called up to the West Indies squad. He will then move onto the CPL with St Kitts & Nevis Patriots. Go well big fella and thank you.”
Kensington Oval in Barbados is set to host the first two matches on July 27 and 29 respectively, while the third and final ODI will be played at the Brian Lara Stadium in Trinidad on August 1. A four-day camp was held at Kensington Oval to prepare the white-ball players for the series.
