Previously home-based, The Choux Bun Appétit has now opened its first store offering Five Valleys shoppers a range of both modern and classic French pastries.
Owner, Josh Ambridge, is pursuing his lifelong dream of opening his own patisserie following ten years in the industry, which started out in luxury hotels moving quickly onto becoming a finalist in the South West Chef of the Year and Young National Chef of the Year awards.
Josh said: “I am so thrilled to be opening my first patisserie business in Five Valleys. I have developed a great love for working with pastry and providing people with something really special to enjoy.”
The unit, which will be opening in the next two weeks opposite Wilko, will offer a wide range of handmade eclairs, macarons and other French pastries using fresh ingredients wherever possible.
Customers will be able to grab their pastry with a hot drink to go or order in and enjoy the Choux Bun Appétit’s comfortable seating area six days a week.
Centre Manager for Five Valleys, Jessica Derham, said: “We are so excited to see Josh join the line-up of artisan businesses already at our indoor market.
“This offer will complement the rest of the market so well and add something really special to the centre just in time for the town’s food festival taking place later this month.”
The Choux Bun Appétit joins 20 other artisan producers and food to go traders at the centre, becoming the main food hub of the town.
Trading seven days a week the market also extends their opening times every Friday providing a great evening out for all the family with live music to enjoy and a huge choice of places to grab a bite to eat before enjoying a night at the cinema or bowling venue.
