Stroud-based Capriol Chamber Orchestra will play their first summer concert since 2019 at St Mary’s Church in North Woodchester on Saturday, at 7.30 pm.
The concert features not one, but two soloists, playing very contrasted works. Fabian van de Geest performs Tom Kane’s exciting contemporary Concerto for Horn and Orchestra, and 2019 Gloucestershire Young Musician of the Year winner, Violist Bill Ko Tsz Hin, will be playing Bruch’s beautiful Romanze for viola.
The programme also includes the Mozart Overture to La Clemenza di Tito, Walton Crown Imperial, and ends with Brahms’s melodic Serenade No. 1 – perfect for a summer’s evening.
Refreshments will be served at the interval.
£12 (concessions £10), £1 reduction on tickets purchased prior to concert evening. Children under 16 free. We can now take card payment on the door. Tickets available in advance from the Sub Rooms Box Office tel: 01453 796880.
