Forest Green will find out who they will face when the EFL fixtures for the 2022-23 season are unveiled next week.

Rovers’ fans will be keen to know who their side will be up against on the opening day of the League One campaign, as Ian Burchnall embarks on his first full season as the club’s permanent head coach alongside newly-appointed assistant coach Michael Doyle.

They will also be wanting to know who their team face on other key dates, such as Boxing Day, New Year and the final day of the campaign.

The all-important fixtures will be released at 9am next Thursday (June 23).

Burchnall’s men begin pre-season preparations with a return to Loughborough University for a three-day training camp (June 23rd, 24th, 25th) before getting their first taste of match action at Melksham Town on Tuesday, June 28th, 7.45pm.

Rovers fans can watch their side in action again on Saturday, July 16th at 1pm, as they travel to Swindon Supermarine.

Rovers wrap up pre-season at The New Lawn on Saturday, July 23rd, with the visit of League Two Newport County for a 3pm kick-off.

Rovers also face Wolverhampton Wanderers, Swansea City, Coventry City and Bristol City during July, but these fixtures will be played behind-closed-doors at the clubs’ respective training grounds.
