Forest Green Rovers are offering parents a chance to work pitch-side while their children take part in the club’s popular summer holiday football camps.
For the next three weeks, through to the end of August, the club’s Black & White Lounge will be open from 9am to 5pm as a free co-working space for parents and guardians of children attending the camps.
The initiative is designed to make life easier for working parents during the school holidays, with the lounge offering:
- Free Wi-Fi
- Free tea, coffee and water
- Plenty of power outlets
- Pitch-side views
- Views across the holiday camp
- Plenty of workspace
- Free parking
And there is another reason to get involved, with Stroud Times teaming up with Forest Green Rovers to give away 10 free days at the club’s holiday camps.
The inclusive FGR football camps are open to boys and girls aged five to 13 of all abilities, giving youngsters the opportunity to stay active, learn new football skills, meet new friends and develop their knowledge of the game.
The camps are delivered by qualified and experienced coaches at Nailsworth Primary School Field, with a vegan hot lunch provided for children attending each day, along with fruit during designated snack breaks.
There is also something new for budding goalkeepers this summer, with FGR introducing goalkeeping-specific camp days delivered by fully qualified coaches.
Registration is from 9.30am, with departure beginning at 3pm from the main stand.
FGR said the camps are extremely popular and spaces are expected to fill quickly, with bookings required in advance to ensure appropriate participant-to-staff ratios and safeguarding requirements.
The club’s co-working initiative gives parents the opportunity to get some work done while remaining close to their children — and enjoy the unique experience of working with a view of the pitch and holiday camp.
