Alice Chubb, one of the event organisers, said: “Thank you to all who came to celebrate our first whole year of WorkStory and all of our wonderful speakers. It has been a privilege to hear stories throughout 2023 from the likes of Nick Gazzard, Tom Nutt, Julie Kent, Tom Haines, and Danny Matthews, and so many more.

“We hosted our December celebration at the Old Lodge on Minchinhampton Common in aid of Julie Kent’s charity Emilys Gift, which is currently fundraising £500,000 for a child psychologist at Gloucestershire Royal by March 2024.

Ryan Hogarty, Partner at Redkite, introduced the event.

“Through fundraising efforts at Redkite Solicitors and at our event, we managed to raise over £1,500 in support of this mission, including a very generous gift from one of our event-goers. Thanks to all of our raffle prize sponsors which we managed to organise; we enjoyed an evening of good food, drinks, and festivities with even better company in our growing WorkStory community.

“We look forward to what is to come in 2024 and the incredible speakers we already have lined up.”
