All ages and abilities are welcome to stay and play at The Door’s latest Pop-Up Board Game Café. This popular event returns to Stroud for one day only on Saturday 26th April at St Laurence Church (in the centre of town). A great way to finish the Easter Holidays.
So, round up the family, bring some friends or come and make some new ones to play from a selection of over 30 games and enjoy some tasty treats too.
Whether you’re a Connect Four champion, the next chess grand master or the best battleships tactician in town there are games for all ages and abilities. Or if games aren’t your thing, then pop by the refreshments table to spend some time enjoying the beautiful church space with a cuppa and a slice of cake.
Operations Manager Anne Townsend said: “We have adopted a pay-as-you-feel model for this year’s board game cafés. At The Door we often hear from families struggling to stay in budget and keep young people engaged in positive activities especially over the holiday period so by offering this event for free at point of use (alongside all our other wonderful youth club activities) we hope to make it as accessible as possible to all.”
No booking is needed, just turn up and play. Donations are invited towards helping keep The Door open for local young people and their families.
