Wycliffe College is celebrating a strong set of Sixth Form results, with 56% of students achieving A to B grades or equivalent across A Levels, BTECs and CTECs – an improvement on 2025.*
Almost a third of the year group achieved the equivalent of three A grades or better in UCAS points, highlighting the breadth of academic and vocational success at the school.
Students are now heading to destinations around the world, including leading UK universities, prestigious US institutions and specialist higher education providers.
Several leavers have secured places at universities including Princeton, Duke and UC Berkeley, while others will study in Tokyo and Paris or attend specialist institutions such as EHL Hospitality Business School in Lausanne.
Many more are progressing to Russell Group universities, competitive degree courses, apprenticeships, employment and further training.
Headmaster Christian San José said: “At Wycliffe, we believe education should challenge convention. Success cannot be measured by a single definition or destination, and today’s results demonstrate the extraordinary diversity of pathways our students are pursuing.
“From Russell Group universities and highly competitive degree and vocational courses to prestigious US institutions including members of the Ivy League, as well as public service, our students are following routes that are as individual as they are ambitious.”
The school said its strong performance across both examination-based and coursework-led programmes demonstrates the range of opportunities available to students, with vocational qualifications remaining a particular strength.
Students completing BTEC and CTEC programmes have progressed to higher education and employment, gaining practical skills alongside academic knowledge.
San José added: “What excites me most is the breadth of success we are celebrating. Academic achievement matters, and we are delighted to see our A* to B performance rise, but equally important are the resilience, curiosity, adaptability, integrity and confidence that our students develop during their time with us.
“These are the qualities that will allow them to flourish throughout their lives, irrespective of the challenges and opportunities the future may present.
“We are immensely proud of every student receiving their results today. These achievements represent far more than examination grades; they are the culmination of years of hard work, determination and personal growth.”
Deputy Head Academic Matthew Routledge said the results represented much more than a set of numbers.
“Results day can reduce complex journeys to a handful of numbers, but behind every grade is a story of effort and growth,” he said.
“This year I am proudest of those stories: students who have overcome setbacks, found confidence and now have clear ambitions.
“Our cohort is heading to universities, apprenticeships, employment and training across the globe, from France and Germany to China, Japan and the United States, which speaks to the global outlook we cultivate at Wycliffe.
“There is no single definition of success here; our role is to help each student find the route that suits them and to equip them to pursue it.”
