David Hill, SARA’s General Executive Officer, said: “This brilliant charity is run wholly by volunteers and is almost completely dependent on the support and donations from local people and businesses.  The crews, who train every Sunday and Thursday, will be there to show you around and chat about how stuff works, how fast it goes and what they do when the ‘shouts’ come in from the Coastguard, Police or Fire Service.

“So, please come along and support them at The Old Dock, Sharpness, GL13 9UB on 25th August.  Doors open at 10am on the Sunday morning and we expect to finish about 4.30pm.  Parking and entry are free.”
