A popular Stroud café owner is set to retire at the end of June.
Loganberry Café quickly became a go-to destination for Stroud coffee drinkers when much-loved Janette Brain launched the business on Stroud High Street just before the Covid lockdown struck.
In a heartfelt message to customers, Janette said: “I have decided to retire by the end of June. Family and Guernsey are calling to me.

“The grandchildren grow up so fast. I shall be Stroud-based, but intend to go back and forth to the Channel Islands to support the family with childcare needs, and generally enjoy myself. After years making coffee, cake and sausage rolls, I need a rest. I hope you will understand.”
Janette hopes her legacy will continue: “If anyone out there is interested in running a coffee shop, all the necessary equipment in place and ready to go, not to mention faithful coffee and cake customers, then please pop in for a chat.”
