Motivated by the success of Gloucester Hartpury women’s team, Painswick is looking to inspire the next generation of players who could become the champions of tomorrow.

Painswick spokesperson Craig Mayo said: “We are aiming to develop our youth section by creating an U12s girls team.

“With a number of our current players moving into this age group next season, now is the perfect time for any girls that would like to try rugby to come and see what it is all about.

Painswick will hold two free taster sessions on Sunday, March 24th and April, 14th, led by Gloucester Rugby Community Dept coach Theresa Bickell. These taster sessions run from 10am until 11.30am, and sausage and chips will be available.
