School of Larks is running a women’s self-defence class on Sundays, 11-12am, at the Centre for Science and Art, Stroud.

Claudia Weston, co-founder and director of School of Larks told Stroud Times: “You can train with other women, boost your confidence, feel safer, and learn effective and appropriate self-defence tactics from the Force Necessary (US) curriculum as well as the best of other systems with master-level UK instructor, multi-black belt and author Jethro Randolph.

“Every week, you will learn quick, simple and effective self-defence for women that builds to a complete understanding of managing aggressive individuals, in a friendly and supportive atmosphere.

“It’s suitable for complete beginners or those with prior training. We also have a young person’s self-defence eight-week course running for ages 11-17 on Wednesdays, 5.15pm-6.30pm in the same venue.”
