Forest Green are third favourites to win the National League.
Rovers are placed at 13/2 to finish top under new boss Robbie Savage
Carlisle United are the bookies’ favourites to win the National League – and odds-on for promotion. The bookmakers fancy Mark Hughes’ side to bounce back after consecutive relegations. United are just 5/2 with Bet365 to win the National League title.
When it comes to promotion via any route – either the title or play-offs – Forest Green are 5/2, York 13/10, Rochdale 10/3, Southend 5/1 and Morecambe 6/1.
Betfair spokesperson Sam Rosbottom said: “The excitement for the upcoming National League season is now building after the fixtures were released with Carlisle 5/2 favourites to win the title, while York City are 3/1.
Forest Green follow at 13/2 to finish top under new boss Robbie Savage, with Rochdale 8/1 and last season’s play-off finalists Southend 11/1. Elsewhere, Morecambe are 12/1 and Scunthorpe 20/1. Meanwhile, Hartlepool and Gateshead are amongst the outsiders at 28/1 to secure EFL status at the end of the campaign.”
Rovers start the season at Solihull on Saturday, August 9.
