Rasmachaz Boutique is proud to mark its 10-year anniversary, celebrating a decade of creativity, compassion, and meaningful community engagement, writes Shalize Nicholas.
What began as a small independent shop has grown into a valued community hub known for its inclusive ethos, sustainable fashion practices, and unwavering commitment to supporting marginalised individuals.
Over the past decade, Rasmachaz Boutique has evolved into much more than a retail space. Through its community clothing initiative, the boutique provides affordable clothing, offers volunteering opportunities, and creates a safe and empowering environment for people seeking connection, skills development, and positive change. A key aspect of its mission includes donating proceeds from clothing sales to the Refugee Community Kitchen, supporting essential food and solidarity services for people in need.

Founder Jed Vaughan expressed gratitude for the community’s continued support: “Reaching our 10-year anniversary is a testament to the strength, resilience, and kindness of the people around us. Rasmachaz has always been about more than clothes — it’s about dignity, creativity, and community. We’re proud of what we’ve built together and excited for what comes next.”
To mark this milestone, Rasmachaz Boutique will host a celebratory event at Stroud Brewery on Monday 24th November, featuring a community gathering, anniversary sale, workshops, and an open day. Supporters, customers, and volunteers are invited to come together, celebrate the journey so far, and look ahead to the boutique’s next chapter.

As Rasmachaz continues its mission, the focus remains firmly on inclusion, sustainability, and strengthening community ties. With ongoing support from local residents, volunteers, and partner organisations, the boutique aims to expand its work in accessible clothing, empowerment, and social change.
This year, Rasmachaz also welcomes Martha as its new Assistant Manager. With a strong background and passion for sustainable fashion, Martha is dedicated to connecting the boutique with Stroud’s vibrant creative and eco-conscious community. A Stroud local “born and bred,” she brings motivation, knowledge, and a deep commitment to the movement Rasmachaz represents.

Founded in 2015, Rasmachaz Boutique is a community-focused clothing initiative providing affordable clothing, supporting marginalised individuals, and reinvesting proceeds into vital causes, including the Refugee Community Kitchen. The boutique offers volunteering opportunities, creative engagement, and a welcoming space dedicated to social and environmental change.
