A popular fish and chip shop in Dursley has been awarded the highest possible Food Hygiene Rating of 5 following a recent inspection by Council Food Safety Officers.
GRAVITY achieved the top rating after demonstrating excellent food hygiene practices, high standards of cleanliness and strong food safety management procedures.
The five-star rating reflects the team’s consistent commitment to maintaining safe food handling processes as part of their daily routine, with officers noting that good hygiene practices are fully embedded in everyday operations.
A Council spokesperson said: “We are delighted to see Gravity achieve a well-deserved five-star Food Hygiene Rating. This result is entirely down to the hard work and commitment of their staff, who have made food safety a true force of habit.
“Our Food Safety Officers inspect around 1,200 food businesses across the district each year to help keep residents safe and standards high.
