Roxburgh Badminton Club has introduced a new annual award in memory of long-standing member Kev Pride, who sadly passed away last year.
The Roxburgh Pride Award has been created to celebrate the qualities Kev brought to the club throughout his time as a member — kindness, passion, encouragement, and a genuine love for badminton. The award will serve as a lasting tribute to someone who made a significant impact on the club and its members.

This year’s Roxburgh Pride Award 2026 was presented to Mark Seward. in recognition of his contribution to the club and the values that reflect Kev’s spirit. Tim was also recognised on the evening, receiving the Roxburgh Most Improved Player Award 2026 for his dedication and progress over the past year.
Kev’s parents, Rob and Val, joined members during club night to present the awards and share fond memories of Kev, his enthusiasm for badminton, and the friendships he built through the club. Their presence made the evening especially meaningful for members, who were grateful for the opportunity to celebrate Kev’s legacy together.
