Forest Green Rovers have confirmed their squad numbers ahead of the 2026/27 National League season, with one notable vacancy still catching the eye.
The club’s iconic No.1 shirt remains unassigned after last season’s goalkeeper, Luke McNicholas, switched to the No.12 jersey. The No.12 shirt was worn by Fiachra Pagel last term, with the Irishman now taking the No.13 shirt.
Elsewhere, captain Laurent Mendy retains the No.6 shirt, while Kyle McAllister keeps No.7. Ricardo Rees inherits Liam Sercombe’s former No.10 shirt, and striker D’Mani Mellor takes the No.9 jersey following the departure of Christian Doidge.
New signing James Berry has been handed the No.11 shirt, previously worn by Tom Knowles, who joined Barnet this summer. Jayden Clarke swaps last season’s No.14 for No.4, while Tre Pemberton reverts from No.21 to No.2, taking over the shirt vacated by Sean Long. Defender Jose Marquez also changes number, switching from No.37 to No.19.
