Slimbridge boss Adam Coyle has stepped down as manager of the Hellenic Premier outfit with immediate effect.
Coyle, who was joint-manager with Tom Deakin, informed the Swans of his decision on Saturday, he said: “I spoke to the chairman Barry (Gaye) and Deaks (Tom Deakin) and told them my intentions to step down from my role as joint manager at Slimbridge AFC.
“I want to thank all the fellow coaching staff throughout the club, our brilliant committee, volunteers, supporters, players past and present and last but not least my amazing wife Becky, my children, my family and friends for their incredible support during my time at the club. Thank you to the club for bringing my family into your family.”
Coyle added: “Now is the time to get behind the players, Deaks (Tom Deakin) and coach Sam Prior and turn this season around.”
Coyle, who previously coached the Swans’ Under18s and Reserve side, took the first team job in March 2022 – joining forces initially with Tom Speers and Tom Deakin following the departure of Lee Driver-Dickerson.
The Swans finished sixth and a point outside the play-offs last season. Currently they’re placed 12th after a run of three defeats.
