Adam May could be set to face Forest Green Rovers in the FA Trophy next weekend after joining Weston-super-Mare on a short term contract.
May, who celebrates his 28th birthday today, joins the Seagulls following his departure from Forest Green Rovers and is in contention to feature in next weekend’s FA Trophy tie—a fixture that could see him make an immediate return to the New Lawn.
Manager Scott Rogers, himself a former Forest Green midfielder, welcomed the arrival, noting the club moved swiftly once May became available.
“It was actually the chairman that brought Adam to our attention when we saw he had left Forest Green Rovers,” Rogers told the club website. “Adie Britton then made contact and was able to get the deal done quickly.
“We thought he would be going into the Football League but due to the transfer window, that might not happen until January, so we moved quickly. With James Dodd’s injury, Adam’s going to be a big player for us over the next month.
“Adam has undoubted quality. Hopefully he’ll enjoy being with us and we’ll enjoy having him.”
May will also reconnect with former Forest Green teammate Liam Sercombe, though Sercombe will be unavailable for the upcoming tie due to a loan agreement.
