Rayelle and Elliot Borthwick from Fennell’s Alpacas brought the three animals to the new Community Café at the hall, where visitors had a chance to stroke them and even give them a slice of apple to eat.

“We’re delighted to be here as part of a community event. The work the whole team is doing is phenomenal and I’m delighted to think that they might bring a new life and a new set of activities and hopefully some new people to the Community Cafe and the work they’re doing,” said Rayelle.

“The reaction to the alpacas has been really good, and when we arrived, we took three alpacas for a stroll around the church hall, and we got all the interest we could have hoped for.”

Future Wednesdays @ The Well events include Crafting Vision Circles on Wednesday 18th, and a Paella cookery demonstration and tasting session on Wednesday 25th. For more information email: jane@coracle.me.uk or visit www.stlaurencefuture.org.uk
