Appeal for information after report a man sexually assaulted a woman outside Starbucks

Police are appealing for information after a report a man sexually assaulted a woman in Stroud earlier this month.

It was reported that an unknown man approached a woman as she was stood outside of Starbucks on King Street at around 11am on Thursday 10 July.

He grabbed her by the shoulder before forcing her to walk alongside him.

The man made the woman walk under the railway bridge towards the canal path at Wallbridge and then along the canal path towards Lidl.

It was during this time that the man attempted to kiss the woman and touch her without her consent.

She repeatedly told him no and then she ran back to Starbucks. The woman, aged in her 20s,sustained bruising to her shoulder.

The man was described as being white, aged in his 30s, between 5ft 6ins and 5ft 8ins tall and of a medium build.

He had dark brown hair, a moustache and was wearing a light coloured t-shirt, shorts and trainers.

CCTV enquiries are ongoing and investigating officers are now asking for anyone who witnessed what happened or who saw the man to make contact with police.
