Building blocks: Redrow extend partnership with Stonehouse Town FC

Redrow South West has reinforced its long-term commitment to Stonehouse Town FC with a new sponsorship deal agreed for the fifth year in a row.

The club is situated close to Redrow’s Great Oldbury development, in Stonehouse. The continued sponsorship is part of Redrow’s ongoing commitment to support local community initiatives.

Redrow’s sponsorship of Stonehouse Town FC began in the 2018/19 season, which included sponsorship of the Mike ‘Spike’ Smith stand.

Over the past five years, Redrow has maintained its yearly sponsorship of Stonehouse Town FC by renewing its support for the 13-metre banner behind one of the two goals at the club’s home ground.

Whilst in previous years Redrow’s sponsorship has also gone towards maintaining club facilities such as flood lights, this year it is going towards a new hospitality suite. The suite will be used to serve refreshments between games and as a shelter for fans during the winter football season.

Stonehouse Town FC is also looking forward to using the suite as a
community space that locals can hire. Already in progress, the hospitality suite should be ready for use by the end of this year.

Since it was established in 1898, Stonehouse Town FC has worked hard to welcome local players of all levels and ages, priding itself as a welcoming and inclusive local football club.

The club manages multiple teams from under 7s to a veterans’ team. Run by committed volunteers who devote their free time to progress these many teams, Stonehouse FC is a real community hub.

When asked about Redrow’s sponsorship this year, development manager at Stonehouse Town FC, Tim Williams, said: “Redrow’s support has been fantastic over the past five years. Their sponsorship has enabled our club to continue reinvesting in facilities, providing access to football for people of all ages, gender, and abilities.”

Charlotte Newnes, Area Sales Manager for Great Oldbury says “It is a great pleasure to continue our partnership with Stonehouse Town FC. Here at Redrow we are committed to supporting projects and initiatives close to our developments and so it is fantastic to be able to help give the local community the access and opportunity to play football and be part of the club’s growth and future success.”

Redrow’s Great Oldbury Development is situated on the edge of the Cotswolds and just minutes from the M5, offering excellent commuter connections whilst providing an idyllic country lifestyle. The range of two- and three-bedrooms homes are perfect for first-time buyers and growing families.
