Dale Vince has paid tribute to Forest Green manager Mark Cooper after the two parted company this afternoon.

Rovers’ chairman brought an end to a five-year working relationship with Cooper after a run of four consecutive defeats put automatic and play-off hopes in doubt.

In an interview with BBC Radio Gloucestershire, Vince spoke of his bond with Cooper, who led Rovers into the Football League for the first time in their history.
