In a raft of departures, midfield kingpin Charlie McCann has left Forest Green.
The former Manchester United and Glasgow Rangers star follows Joe Quigley and Jamie Robson, who both departed the club earlier today.
McCann joined Rovers for a reported £350.000 in January 2023, but failed to help the club drop from League One.
The technical midfielder began his career at hometown club Coventry City – before sealing a move to Manchester United at the age of 16.
McCann featured heavily in United’s youth teams for a number of years, before he was snapped up by Rangers in the summer of 2021.
He made eight first-team appearances during his time at the Gers.
The youngster has been capped twice by Northern Ireland Under-21s – and received a senior squad call-up in May.
The 23-year-old scored 11 goals last season for the Nailsworth side.
A club spokesperson said: “Rovers can confirm that midfielder Charlie McCann has left the club with immediate effect.
“The Club wishes Charlie well in the next stage of his career.”
