The why and the what of never giving up.
It can feel unrelenting, being a business owner. The many roles, the responsibility, the long hours, the constant innovation and the seemingly never-ending challenges.
Here’s a list of things to do when things feel rocky and when you don’t get the results you’re hoping for;
- Focus on your outcome
Why are you doing this in the first place?
- Remember what is important in life
What are your top five values? Are you living in them?
- Revisit your time management
Where can you better spend the time you have, what can you do in your “no extra time”?
- Do the stuff you are putting off
You know, the stuff you hate which would turn things around
- Check you have the right team around you
If not, hire the right people
- Have a plan
As Tony Robbins says, most people over estimate what they can achieve in a year and underestimate what they can achieve in ten years
- Keep showing up
Especially when you don’t feel like it
- Think long term
But focus on now
- Make sacrifices
Nobody actually cares if you have the latest trainers, car, clothes. Prioritise things that matter for success.
- Look how far you’ve come
5 years ago you would be proud of where you are now
- Surround yourself with the right people
As John Rohn said, we are the average of the five people you spend the most time with. Choose carefully!
- Work with coaches and mentors – they can collapse time by sharing decades of experience with you.
You have not come this far only to come this far.
