We headed to Star Anise Cafe in Stroud to find out more about CBD oil, where customers now have the option of three drops of CBD oil in their coffee, which is said to reduce annoying side effects like anxiety and jitters.

In recent years, CBD oil has become increasingly popular, but it’s not without a bit of controversy – as the oil is derived from the compound in cannabis that doesn’t get you high, and is popping up in everything from salads to sundaes.

Welcoming CBD oil to the cafe, owner Nic Allan said: “It helps to reduce anxiety and if you experience a benefit and wellbeing, go for it.”
