Aaron Collins has joined Bristol Rovers on a two-year deal.
The mercurial striker turned down a new contract offer at Forest Green to join Joey Barton’s side after reported interest from Cheltenham Town.
The 24-year-old scored 11 goals for Forest Green last season and played a pivotal part in Rovers’ surge into the play-offs.
Speaking about the arrival of Collins, Manager Joey Barton told Bristol Rovers’ website: “We are thrilled to secure Aaron’s signature as we know there were plenty of suitors.
“He’s shown that he’s capable of scoring and creating goals at this level and was a constant attacking threat for Forest Green last season.
“Aaron is an ambitious lad, who wants to be part of a squad that gets promoted out of Sky Bet League Two. That is our collective goal, and I’m hopeful we achieve that together this forthcoming season.”
