Green campaigner and Ecotricity chief Dale Vince says he was refused entry to Reform UK’s annual conference in Birmingham, claiming he has been “blacklisted” by the party.
Vince had planned to meet delegates to discuss why, in his view, abandoning net zero targets would cost jobs and damage the economy.
In a statement, Vince accused Reform’s figurehead Nigel Farage of promoting what he called “economic madness” through anti-net zero policies. He argued that the approach would “shut down Britain’s green economy,” which he said is worth around £100 billion a year and growing at 10%.
“I was hoping to meet Reform delegates and supporters, to hear their views on the green economy and to share what I know. Instead I’ve joined the ranks of the blacklisted,” Vince said. “The leadership of the party don’t want dissenting views heard.”
