Seven Stroud ballet dancers marked summer solstice 2024 at the Rococo Garden exedra, in Painswick, Gloucestershire.

Summer Solstice occurred in the UK at 9.50pm on Thursday, June 20th, when the Earth’s tilt toward the sun was at its maximum, resulting in the longest day of the year.

The garden was created in the 18th century by Benjamin Hyett.

The dancers are Tallulah Hardy, Tilia Olner, Lilanne Olner, Daisy Topps, Daisy Henderson, Lauren Gilroy and Eleanor Widdowson from the Ballyhoo Dance School, Stroud.

Benjamin Hyett designed the flamboyant pleasure garden in 1740 and the experimental creation is scattered with an eclectic array of eccentric buildings resulting in a tranquil haven from modern life.
