Forest Green Rovers top brass remain tight-lipped despite the frenzied speculation regarding Steve Cotterill’s future.
With Rovers’ squad due to return to pre-season training on Monday, fans are clambering for clarity on a situation that reached a crescendo this week when Robbie Savage was spotted rubbing shoulders in Stroud with new director of football Mark Bowen.

Savage has emerged as the number one candidate to replace Cotterill if Rovers pull the trigger on the former Birmingham, Stoke City and Notts Forest boss.
The wall of silence from the New Lawn corridors is alarming, but Stroud Times understands a resolution is expected in the next 48 hours, which will be music to the ears of all Rovers’ fans – the wind turbines are set to spin with transfer news and transparency on the Cotterill conundrum.

One fan told Stroud Times: “We just need something from the club to set our minds at rest. I’m sure Mark Bowen and the people from behind the scenes are working hard, but we just feel like we’re being kept in the dark.”
Stroud Times has contacted Forest Green for a response.
