Bernard made 186 appearances for Rovers, the highlight being the League Two promotion-winning season under Rob Edwards before being released in 2024 by Steve Cotterill after five seasons at the Nailsworth club.

Bernard has also played for Aldershot and Yeovil Town.

Weston boss Scott Rogers told the club website: “Dom is a very athletic, versatile defender and we’re really pleased he’s decided to join us. “He’s a great age at 28 and we’re looking forward to seeing him put in a lot of big performances for Weston.”
