A service to celebrate the life of Graham Foxley will take place next month.

Graham sadly lost his short battle with pancreatic cancer on October 6th. A cub scout leader in Minchinhampton for 13 years – a role he loved, Graham was also a committee member for Nailsworth Silver band and set up their first website His busing life saw him act as a fosterer for Stroud cats protection – calling the cats welcome “guests”.

His wife Di, said: “Following the sudden loss of our son Simon to suicide after being bullied on social media, Graham became a trustee and treasurer for the Stroud-based charity Sunflowers Suicide Support and also helped in the running of a bereavement support group.

“With retirement looming at the end of the year, he was planning on completing the renovations on our cottage and spending more time on his volunteering roles.”

Graham’s celebration of life is on Sunday, November 7th at 12.30 pm at  Miserden Village Hall GL6 7JB.

Anyone wishing to attend must take a lateral flow test and wear a mask. Cheerful clothing is preferred.

Donations on the day for either Sue Ryder hospice ( bottles of spirits, liqueurs, ginger beer, and soft drinks) or Sunflowers suicide support (cash/ cheques). Light refreshments will be served after the service and a small car park is available alongside plenty of street parking.
