Workers carrying out a refurbishment at a former taxi office, have revealed a piece of the town’s shop history. 

The old sign says Scott & Son, a one-time removal firm based on Station Road, Stroud.

The vintage sign was spotted by Stroud Times reader Shaun Dowdeswell, who said: “I noticed the old sign after builders began work on the old office at A & A Taxis,” said Mr Dowdeswell. “I’ve not heard of Scott & Son and I guess the removal business could have been around in the 1960s or even earlier.”
