On Saturday more than 180 people walked side by side across Minchinhampton and Rodborough Commons, in support of Longfield Community Hospice.
Families, friends, volunteers, and supporters all joined in, walking, talking and enjoying music, food, and drink back at the hospice, creating a truly special day filled with laughter, remembrance, and community spirit.

The event has already raised more than £2,000 with funds still coming in. All money raised helps provide comfort, care, and dignity for patients and their loved ones during some of the hardest days imaginable.
On the day, people shared some incredibly moving stories about loved ones who will always be remembered, with the Pegler family gathering three generations of their family to walk together. “We just wanted to do something to give back for the care that Malcolm received”, commented Jo Pegler.

After the walk, delicious food was provided by Big Dave’s and Brownies and More, drinks from Bottle Green and Cotswold Lakes Brewery and live music from the wonderful B.R.A.N.D. There was even a Human Fruit Machine courtesy of Longfield’s Cirencester support group.
