Pyke Quarry Household Recycling Centre – near Horsley is closed today, Tuesday.
The tip was forced to close on Monday afternoon due to an equipment failure.
A spokesperson for Gloucestershire County Council said: “Unfortunately, Pyke Quarry HRC has been closed this afternoon (19 May) and will be closed tomorrow (20 May) due to equipment failure.
“Customers with an existing booking for this afternoon (19 May) can visit any of our HRCs instead, up to and including Tuesday 27 May (subject to usual opening times). Residents with a booking for 20 May can visit any site from tomorrow up and including Tuesday 27 May.
“Please take proof of your original booking with you when you visit. Find out more about HRC locations, opening days and times. The extra demand for some sites, may mean a longer than normal wait to get in.
“Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience caused.”
