Ahead of the arrival of new manager Robbie Savage, key defender and club captain Jordan Moore-Taylor has agreed a fresh deal to remain at Forest Green.

Signed by Mark Cooper from MK Dons in 2020, Moore-Taylor,31, captained Rovers to promotion to the League Two title in 2022. He has clocked up 153 appearances for the club during his five-year spell that saw him leave the club for a short period after being released by former manager Duncan Ferguson.

On the new deal, Moore-Taylor told the club website: “I’m really happy to get a new deal done and dusted. I’ve enjoyed every minute with the club and I’m excited to continue the journey.”

Meanwhile, goalkeeper Fiachra Pagel has signed a new deal.

The 21-year-old signed in January 2023 from Drogheda United and has featured twice last season – both in cup matches for FGR.

On the deal, Pagel said: “I’m delighted to continue my journey with FGR and loved being part of the team. I’m excited for the future.”
