Nailsworth is gearing up to kick-start the festive season with its much-loved Nailsworth Goodwill Festival, returning as a two-day celebration from today, Friday, December 28.
Festivities begin Friday at 3pm with a vibrant market on Market Street, followed by an evening packed with seasonal cheer. Visitors can enjoy choirs and bands performing across the town, meet donkeys, explore a funfair, step into Santa’s Grotto, and experience lively street-side entertainment including interactive circus fun and roaming performers. Shops will stay open late, and a town-wide window display competition will invite the public to vote for their favourite festive displays.
The celebrations continue on Saturday with a special edition of the Nailsworth Artisan Market in Mortimer Gardens from 10am to 2pm, offering local crafts, produce, and unique gifts.
Tony Davey, Interim Chairman of the LoveNailsworth business group, said: “Nailsworth has so much to offer, and this November we hope to deliver the best Goodwill Festival ever. This year we’re not only hosting the Goodwill Evening but also bringing the Artisan Market into the same weekend—offering even more for our community. From special promotions to gingerbread decorating and even a quiet crafting area, there truly is something for everyone. We encourage visitors to enjoy the attractions and take time to explore our streets and excellent local businesses. It’s important to think local first when looking for thoughtful, quality gifts—Nailsworth has so much on offer.”
