Archway Senior School in Stroud has appointed a new headteacher from September.
After an extensive search for a successor to Mr Kieron Smith, who will be departing this summer, Archway has appointed Mr James Woollin.
Mr Woollin joins Archway from Hardenhuish School in Chippenham, where he currently serves as senior deputy headteacher.
Speaking on his appointment, Mr Woollin expressed his enthusiasm for the new role: “I am absolutely delighted to be appointed as the new Headteacher of Archway School. I’m really looking forward to working with students, staff, parents, and the wider community to meet the challenges ahead and
unlock the huge potential that exists within the school.”
Mrs Gill Ferry, Chair of Governors at Archway School commented: “We are confident that Mr Woollin’s vision, leadership, and passion for education will be a tremendous asset to Archway School. We look forward to welcoming him into our school and wider community.”
Parents and carers can expect opportunities to meet Mr Woollin as he begins his transition into the role in the next few weeks.
