Kingswood and Shortwood Reserves shared the spoils in a six-goal pre-season thriller, writes Jim Cunneen.

Shortwood came from 3-0 down to peg Kingswood back after a flying start for the home side.

Earlier, Kingswood were quickly out of the blocks – scoring twice within a minute. Rupert Beecham and Scott Evanson had two goals ruled out in the first-half with Kingswood leading 2-0 at the break.

Jake Wellington hit the bar for the Nailsworth side as they tried to find a way back into the match. However, Kingswood made it 3-0. With 10 minutes to go Sem Mutalindwa pulled a goal back. Evanson then scored from the penalty spot for Shortwood and the comeback was complete when he bagged his second of the afternoon to make t 3-3.
