Police are appealing for witnesses after a shed and some neighbouring properties were damaged during a suspected arson in Nailsworth last week.

Officers were called at around 3.25am on Saturday 31 May following a report of a shed on fire in the Lawnside area.

Fire crews attended and extinguished the blaze which is believed to have been started deliberately.

Fencing, windows and a roof at nearby properties were also damaged in the blaze.

Officers have conducted house to house and CCTV enquiries in the area and they would now like to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the incident or saw anybody acting suspiciously between 1.30am and 3.30am that morning.

A male and female were also overheard talking near the scene at around 6.30am and local residents are being urged to check their CCTV, doorbell or dashcam systems for any relevant footage.

Investigating officers would also like to hear from anyone who has not yet spoken to police who may have any information about the incident.
