Police news: appeal for witnesses after cyclist is bitten by dog

MOST READ

Police are appealing for witnesses after a cyclist was bitten by a dog while at a Gloucester park.

It was reported that a man was cycling through the park by Gloucester Old Boys Rugby Club on Myers Road at around 7.50am on Tuesday 26 November when a black coloured dog bit him in the leg.

The man continued cycling to work but later attended hospital and received antibiotics for an injury just above his ankle.

The breed of the dog is unknown, however it is believed that a group of dog walkers commonly walk in the park and officers are asking anyone with information on the dog and/or the owner to make contact.
